Mihir asked Aparna out, but it would be several weeks before Aparna would agree to a date. And when she finally agreed to that date, she sneakily brought along a friend just in case ‘Mihir got the wrong impression’. The happy couple (plus one friend) spent the day hiking, then getting lost, then abandoning hiking, and then eating a delicious waterfront dinner in Newport, Rhode Island. On a quiet stroll along the beach, Mihir skillfully wooed Aparna with some serious maritime knowledge, and Aparna was well on her way to falling for the love of her life.

Aparna + Mihir gathered with friends and family in the elegantly decorated Indianapolis Downtown Marriott for a wonderful wedding weekend. Indian wedding are always such a blast to be a part of. The colors, culture, music, and food all make Indian weddings so much fun to be a part of. Below is their teaser trailer. It’s always a challenge editing down so many exciting moments to create a highlight reel. The whole weekend was a highlight!

Kim + Peter met at The Vogue in Broad Ripple at an 80’s coverband concert, Hairbanger’s Ball. Not long after that, Peter surprised Kim by flying her to San Francisco and proposed to her on the Golden Gate Bridge (Kim’s favorite place; she lived in the San Francisco Bay area for 3 years and has always loved that area). Peter handed a camera to a nearby tourist to snap a few photos of that special moment.

Kim + Peter’s wedding was out of this world! The colors, the details, the car, the retro theme, everything was pulled off well with the help of A Touch of Elegance planners. The Indianapolis Public Library is one of our favorite Indianapolis wedding venues. It’s always fun to see the library transform into a beautiful atmosphere for family and friends to create some fun memories. Kim + Peter poured their hearts into their wedding all the way down to an awesome choreographed first dance. Before being introduced at their reception, they were able to sneak in the Simon reading room to practice some last minute dance steps (a great moment for us secretly capture).

LOVE the video! You guys are the best and can’t wait to see the rest! 🙂

In the spring of 2012, we produced an engagement film for Ashley + David to show at their wedding reception right before their surprise dance. They pulled it off well and their family and friends were raving! If you’ve already seen their engagement film, you can skip to the 4:00 mark on the this video to see their dirty dancing debut.

Dani and I were so excited to travel to St. James, Missouri for Mindy + Ryan’s wedding. After Mindy slipped into her dress, we traveled North to their perfectly planned wedding ceremony and reception at the Prairie Star Restoration Farm in Bland, Missouri. Details were everywhere! Mindy + Ryan managed to injected their personalities into everything. With all the backyard games and hayrides, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting and Dani and I felt like family. Mindy’s father passed away a few years ago and she decided to sew a small heart on here dress using a piece of her dad’s favorite shirt along with lighting a lantern in his memoru during the ceremony.

A big “thank you!” to our friends at Amanda Fales Photography for referring us to Mindy + Ryan last year. We enjoy every chance to work with them and it’s always a FUN time! You have to head over to their blog and check out some of their captured memories from this wedding too!

We brought along a vintage super 8mm camera and 100 feet of film to help document their story using this timeless medium. The lovely, organic style of super 8mm film complimented the classic feel of their wedding.

Mindy and Ryan are the creative minds behind Two Are Better, an Indianapolis-based photo/video studio. “Two are better” seems to be a common theme throughout their life both personally and professionally. It was also the pattern for their wedding and the driving force behind this teaser trailer.

Absolutely blown away! I came across Charelene and Steve’s wedding on one of the wedding blogs. Omg,
I cried like I knew them. Wish you guys were in SA! Beautiful work.

Dani & I are looking forward to traveling to Los Angeles, CA this January for the IN[FOCUS] 2013.  We’ve gone the last 3 year but this year will be a little different because I am a presenter this year!  We’ll gather with our international peers at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel while Jet offers a presentation on wedding video production and share some of  techniques and stories behind what we do here at Jet Kaiser Films.  We are so thankful for this opportunity!
