Thanks so much, Bob. That was our goal with this film. I wanted to create something that would make it impossible not to greatly consider hiring a videographer for your wedding. Whether it’s us or you or anyone that will preserve their special moments. Thanks for watching!

Jet, this was absolutely amazing. You are a truly gifted storyteller.

Yelena + Dan invited us to join them in Jamaica to produce a wedding film last month. We had an extra day before the wedding so we decided to take advantage of it and follow them for some horseback riding fun at the Chukka properties near Falmouth, Jamaica. We snapped a few photos from that excursion too (video coming soon).

So what happened here that caused the entire wedding congregation to burst out in laughter?  What if there were only photos of this moment and not motion pictures with sound?  The couple might always remember, but will their future children and grandchildren know what was so funny?  Will the story always remain attached to the photos?  More than likely, they won’t.  Memories fade and the stories attached to images are often forgotten.  This is the beauty of what we do as event filmmakers.  We preserve these moments exactly as they happen so they can be shared (and remembered) forever.

Here’s what happened;)

Lee + Ben were serious about their wedding theme which was a step back in time to the 1904 World’s Fair. The 1904 World’s Fair was held in St. Louis at Forest Park and Lee + Ben’s ceremony was took place in front of the only remaining building from the fair (the St. Louis Art Museum). It made sense for us to bring along an antique film camera to partially capture their day using super 8mm film. From the decor to their classic choreographed first dance, the reception at the Missouri Athletic Club was truly timeless. After enjoying their sneak peek wedding trailer, be sure to head over to Louise Vorster’s photography blog and view her amazing captures from Lee + Ben’s wedding day.

Beautiful, they are precious and inspiring. Congratulations!!

Last November we headed south to our home away from home, Negril, Jamaica.  Melanie + Quinn decided to make things simple and planned an intimate, modest wedding ceremony and reception for just the two of them at the Couples Negril Resort.  Since Melanie + Quinn live in Atlanta, we got to know them through Skype meetings and email, it was so exciting to finally meet them in person in Negril.  The day after the wedding we picked them up and brought them to the Negril Lighthouse so they could explore the cliffs and take in the amazing views that only the westernmost tip of the island has to offer.  There is just something special about Jamaican sunsets.  This is Melanie + Quinn’s wedding teaser trailer.

Ben Poenisch - September 10, 2014 - 5:34 pm

This may be your best yet. I can’t wait to see your other Caribbean weddings you’ve been shooting lately. You two are great.

When JD met Olivia, he thought she looked like Drew Barrymore (his childhood crush).  We have to agree.  From the  beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at the IMA to the fun and festive reception atmosphere at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, everything about Olivia + JD’s wedding was elegant and epic.  Olivia Leigh came down from Chicago to work her photographic magic throughout the day, be sure to check out her work.  So, should you get a DJ or a band for your wedding reception?  Why not both?  T-Bone DJ kept the reception momentum in top gear alongside of the famous Dave and Rae band.

We approached this wedding film trailer from a classic creative angle.  No dialog, just beautiful motion-pictures that tell their own story.
