Our first “Rockstar” wedding. Takuya Shima is the lead singer for Buddhistson from Japan. Jenny sang a bit on their latest album too! You definitely need to check them out! Their ceremony & reception both took place at the classic Meyers Castle in Dyer Indiana. This wedding was a lot of fun for us to cover. We used some super 8mm film and colored the entire video to match it and to get an warm, vintage feel which really suits the couple.

Stillmotion teamed up with IN[FOCUS] this year to create a short film contest revolving around the word “Gateway”. One of the requirements is that the film has to be between 30 & 60 seconds. Here is our entry. It took 1 hour to shoot and about 1 hour to edit (plus a little extra time for the typography A special thanks to Zeke Williams for making himself available and doing a fantastic job with acting (it was VERY hot while shooting…that’s not CG sweat my friends). All I can say is, “Wow!”
What an incredible trip. Dani & I had the privilege of flying out to Baltimore this past week to document Ella & Chris’s perfect wedding day. It doesn’t matter how many thousands of dollars of cameras & lenses you have, or how big and bad your editing system is…What truly matters is the couple. The couple can make ALL the difference in our films. Ella & Chris have a love that is rarely seen. True love. A kind of love that give you goosebumps and make you what to run home and hug your wife. Being able to be the one to cover their day and to capture their beautiful story made me feel really special. I only hope that you can get a glimpse of their love throughout these 5 minutes.

Amy & Josh got hitched at St. Pius X in Indy and later had their party at The Fountains in Carmel. I loved the colors that they used throughout the day, orange & blue. Two goldfish were used for their table centerpieces. Cute!

The dentist wedding. This was a fun day, although, according to Christine, it didn’t really start off that way. Not long after we arrived, Christine got the news that the museum had to move her ceremony indoors. If that wasn’t enough, her dress broke while she was putting it on. Have no fear! There was plenty of dental floss in the house so sure enough, Christine, the dentist, was sewn into her dress with dental floss. It’s always neat to find and document the little stories within a bigger story. It was our first time shooting with Nate & Tiffany from Nathaniel Edmunds Photography. Nate has such a calm approach toward photography whgich is rather refreshing. They captured some beautiful photos! See some here
The ceremony and reception were both at the Indiana State Museum. Joel Nowacki with Track Seven DJ played the right tunes to get the guests out on the floor.
