2009: A Reflection
by Administrator on Jan.01, 2010, under for fun, weddings
As I look back on this year all I can say is “wow”. What an unbelievable year!
We are always attempting new things and trying find ways outdo ourselves so it is exciting to look back and see how much Jet Kaiser Films evolved in 2009.
I think within the wedding filmmaking industry, 2009 will forever be known as the “The year of the EOS 5D Mark II”. Canon released the Mark II in late 2008 and it was quickly adopted by many wedding filmmakers as their new main camera. We purchased this camera in March 2009 before the busy season took off and quickly learned of the huge potential that came with the camera. We spend a large part of 2009 adapting to the new workflow that came along with the tapeless technology of the Mark II. In September, Canon released the 5D Mark II’s little brother, the EOS 7D. We were waiting diligently for this camera and we were lucky enough to find one (they were sold out and on backorder EVERYWHERE) online within a week of it’s release date. These magnificent cameras have given us some beautiful, high-quality images this year. Thanks Canon ; )
We were truly blessed this last year with the privilege of working with so many great couples and thrilled with the relationships that developed. Jet Kaiser Films did more wedding than ever in 2009 and it is already looking like 2010 is going to top it! It is so much fun for me to look back at our 2009 blog posts and reflect on all the different emotions, atmospheres, people, colors, places, etc. I am reminded once again that Dani and I are so blessed to do what we do and are so thankful for such a prosperous year.
We were thrilled to find that we received 2nd place in the 2009 Best of TheIndyChannel.com A-List in the videographer category. Thanks to everyone who voted for us, we are so thankful for you all. Let’s see what we can do this year!
A big thanks to all the wonderful vendors that we were able to work with in 2009. So many great photographers, planners, DJ’s, bands, florists, caterers, cake designers, venues, limo services, & more. You all made our year run so smooth and made it so fun and enjoyable. I just love how tight the wedding industry is and how everyone strives to help each other. Thanks again & we are looking forward to working with you all again soon!
So here we go! A new year, new weddings, new ideas, new opportunities. Dani and I are excited to experience what this new year has in store for us.
Bring it on, 2010!

Tiffany & Justin’s Wedding 12. 19. 09
by Administrator on Dec.19, 2009, under weddings
Today we were back on the westside this weekend at the Our Shepherd Lutheran Church where Tiffany and Justin started their married life. It snowed a bit throughout the day but never really accumulated on the ground. Brooke & Pedro were the photographers today and are quite a hoot to work with. I can’t say enough about how awesome they are. Check out their blog here. Their reception was held at the new(ish) Hendrick’s Co. Fairgrounds. The night ended with our first bridal party auction. The members of the bridal party were auctioned of individually and the highest bidder got to dance with the member they won. The bride, of course, received the highest bid of the night. A cool alternative to the traditional dollar dance! A truly fun wedding!
Congrats Tiffany & Justin!

Natalie & Kurt’s Wedding 12. 12. 09

What a day!
Kurt has been a good friend of mine for many years and we had the privilege of documenting his wedding today. Kurt and Natalie got hitched inside the Grace Point Church in Indianapolis. I had a blast joking and laughing with the guys as the prepared for the ceremony. Natalie looked stunning in her dress! What a beautiful bride! The reception was very elegant, yet simple and took place at the church building. Dani and I had such a wonderful day.
Congrats Kurt & Natalie!
